Disabling Windows XP Firewall
Note: Disabling your firewall may leave your computer vulnerable to attacks.
- Click 'Start', and then click 'Control Panel'
- Click 'Network and Internet Connections'
- Click 'Network Connections'
Note: If 'Network and Internet Connections' is not visible, click 'Switch to Category View'
- Highlight your internet connection, and then click 'Change settings of this connection'

- Click 'Advanced' and then click 'Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet' so that it is unticked and greyed out.
- Click OK
