Elert Types
- Standard Elert: Notifies you the instant a security’s price touches either your upper or lower price limit.
- Percentage Elert: Notifies you the instant a security’s price touches either your upper or lower price limit as a percentage of a datum price.
- Movement Elert: Notifies you each time a security’s price moves past a preset amount, in either direction.
- Tiered Elert: Acts as an extension of the Standard Elert. A Base Tier primary elert is set-up in the same manner as a standard elert. At the same time, second tier elerts are set-up either side of the upper and lower price limits of the primary elert. The relevant second tier elert then becomes active once the Base Tier primary elert is triggered.
- Trailing Elert: A series of 4 sequentially monitored standard elerts.
- News Elert: Notifies you each time a price sensitive announcement or a change in director’s interest announcement is issued by the exchange for a specified security.
- Time Elert: Notifies you of the live price of a security up to 3 times a day (you get to specify the times, as long as it is within market hours). The same Timed Elert can also be set to run consecutively for up to 3 days.
- QuoteME Elert: With QuoteME elerts you can send an SMS from your mobile phone (which we call a “request" SMS) to our central mobile number. Your request SMS must contain one or more valid security codes (ASX Stock or Option codes or both). Within seconds we will send back the current live price for each requested security code. A separate SMS is sent to the your mobile phone for each valid security code contained in your request SMS.
As soon as your elert is triggered, you will be sent a live quote by the method you have indicated (SMS and/or email) and the elert status will change from active to complete.
Example of an SMS notification:
WOW O:$13.580 H:$13.600 L:$13.540 LAST:$13.550 Vol:8918601.
Current B:$13.540 - A:$13.550. Your upper limit has been reached.
In the example above, WOW represents the ASX security code, O is the open price for the given security on the given day, H is the high price, L is the low price, LAST is the last price, Vol is the current volume, B is the current bid price, and A is the current ask price.
