Chart Types
The Bourse provides you with a diverse range of chart types for displaying security price data. Plain charts display exact price activity without any modifications to the data. To assist in the analysis of price activity, summary charts modify price data to emphasise certain price relationships. The time axis is usually distorted in these types of charts. For added flexibility, the scale options allow you to view price activity using either a Log (semi-logarithmic) or Arithmetic (linear) scale. Below is a list of the chart types in the Bourse with their associated toolbar icons.
Technical Indicators
Technical indicators are tools, signals or statistics that can be useful in determining an appropriate trading strategy. With the Bourse, you can save your own indicator styles, which means you do not need to add the same group of indicators each time you create a new chart. Individual indicators are most conveniently accessed using toolbars, so we recommend that any indicators you use frequently be placed on your own customised toolbar. Below is a list of the indicators available in the Bourse with their associated toolbar icons.
Other Tools to Use with Your Charts
The charting tools within the Bourse assist with viewing, displaying, editing and analysing your charts. They are most conveniently accessed using toolbars. Below is a list of the chart tools in the Bourse with their associated toolbar icons.
