AUD drops as economic fall out from bushfires in considered: ASX poised for a flat start

08 Jan 2020 - Following weak leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open flat this morning. On the commodities front, oil continues to retreat from an earlier rise mainly due to the uncertainty in the Middle East. The Aussie dollar fell as the economic fall out from the bushfires is considered. Emeco (ASX:EHL) is looking to increase its Revolving Credit Facility (RCF) from $65 million to $100 million.

Polynovo (ASX:PNV) shares soar after hitting $2m month: ASX closed 0.4% higher

07 Jan 2020 - It has been a positive day of trade for the ASX after a rise in early morning trade, the local bourse managed to close 0.4% higher. Medical device company PolyNovo (ASX:PNV) shares have soared today after they released that they had their first two-million-dollar month. And Champion Iron (ASX:CIA) has entered a scheme implementation deed to redomicile from Australia to Canada.

Industrials lead the sectors: ASX tracking 1% higher at noon

07 Jan 2020 - The ASX rose at the open and managed to maintain momentum and is now tracking 1% higher at noon. Shares in Orocobre (ASX:ORE) are rising as are Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS) and Coca Cola Amatil (ASX:CCL). Meanwhile, Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST), and Elders (ASX:ELD) have seen their shares drop. Medical device company PolyNovo (ASX:PNV) had its first two-million-dollar month.
