Export and import prices fall in September quarter: ASX is tracking 1.2% lower at noon

29 Oct 2020 - The ASX dropped at the open and is now tracking 1.2% lower at noon. Seek (ASX:SEK) took a hit today as they took a pause in trading awaiting an announcement. All the sectors are in the red with information technology performing the worst. The Westpac Group (ASX:WBC) has entered into an agreement to settle the US bank bill swap reference rate (BBSW) class action.

Tech stocks sink as Covid cases surge across Europe and the US: ASX poised to fall at the open

29 Oct 2020 - The ASX looks set to drop at the open after a fall on Wall Street and across European markets. Coronavirus cases are set to trigger more lockdowns in Europe as they cope with the second wave. Tech stocks took a hit with shares in Apple, Amazon and Facebook all down. Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS) has entered into an Implementation Deed with the senior secured loan noteholders of Altura to potentially acquire the Altura Lithium Project.

Market manages to lift after a four-day losing streak: ASX closes 0.1% higher

28 Oct 2020 - The Australian share market has seen a few losses over the last few days but today managed to pull up to close 0.1 per cent higher. The big four banks all closed lower today. As for the sectors today, Infotech led the day and Energy closed the day the lowest. McPherson’s (ASX:MCP) has raised $36.5 million via a fully underwritten institutional placement at $2.27 per share.
